Annual SWAN Events

Holiday Lighting Celebration

Shoreline West neighbors join together to decorate Mariposa Park with festive holiday lighting, hot chocolate and sweet treats and then enjoy the festive lights which illuminate the park through the holiday season.

Kid’s Marketplace

Any children from Shoreline West may sell items. Please register your interest in having a stall at the marketplace by emailing sillyinthestreet@gmail.com. Per city rules, sales have to be kept off the sidewalk and street. Driveways and front yards are fine.

Silly in the Street - Kid’s Neighborhood Block Party

Bring scooters, bikes, balls to share with other neighborhood kids while playing together on the closed off street.  Children under 12 to be accompanied by adults.  Feel free to bring snacks or dinner to eat while playing.  Neighbors of all ages are invited to attend.

Annual Neighborhood Block Party and AGM

Our Annual Neighborhood Block Party celebrates the Shoreline West community with food, entertainment and community service organizations. We also host our Annual General Meeting at this event and introduce our current SWAN Steering Committee and invite other neighbors to join the SWAN Steering Committee

Ice Cream Social

Meet in Mariposa Park to enjoy a picnic dinner, games and fun park activities while enjoying an ice-cream with your neighbors.

MLK Community Service Event

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s memory, Shoreline West neighbors join with compañeros from the Day Worker Center for a trash pickup around Shoreline West. This is followed by a pizza lunch at the Day Workers Center provided by the Shoreline West Association of Neighbors.
